Shan Gillard Shan Gillard The novel guides produced by Novel Insights are the result of the past twenty years of teaching experience of Shan Gillard, both in the classroom, and as a homeschooling mom. Mrs. Gillard has a bachelor's degree from Dallas Baptist University in Dallas, Texas, and is close to finishing her coursework for a master's degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. She has taught English on both the junior high and senior high school levels in Christian schools. She has worked with students with learning differences, as well as developing and implementing an honors English program based on the study of literature. Mrs. Gillard is certified as a teacher by the Association of Christian Schools, International,and holds membership in the Christian Writers' Guild, and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
