What Are The Novel Insights Guides?

The novel guides produced by Novel Insights are intended for use in studying novels from a Christian worldview, whether or not the novels themselves are Christian. A good way to think of them is cliff notes from a Christian perspective. The guides we currently produce are aimed at high school students or students who are more advanced and are able to experience themes at a deeper than "surface" level. The guides are very "user friendly," providing the convenience of a CD which gives the educator the option of choosing specific questions or sections he/she prefers to use. The guides are perfect for anyone from home school families to high school students, especially those who want to keep religion in their education.

The guides are book reviews of popular and/or classic novels that are frequently used by educators. More than that, they are literature study guides, complete with review questions, crossword puzzles about the book, and other things to aid in teaching students. They are designed to make learning fun for both the student and the teacher, but they are designed for learning.

We are adding new guides all the time and will post them here as they are completed. We truly hope you enjoy using the guides and that they help you to acheive your education goals.

Understanding Literature

The study of literature is one of the most important aspects of a student's education. Through literature, students are able to understand human nature, general ideas, universal truths, great lessons, principles and precepts that have survived the test of time. Because no one can experience all that there is to experience in life, literature allows one to be exposed to great truths that he would not otherwise be able to encounter.
